EN – When can’old-wood’ be called ‘old-wood’? Or is the age of the wood irrelevant and the point is how worn out the surface is?

Sunburnt wood can be really old (50-150 years) or as well beeing sunburnt and weathered enough after 30-40 years,

Handhewn wood (boards and barns) on the other side can only be made in the time of manual woodwork. A handhewn surface is made from axes and handcraft, when machines where not available by the time. This work was done until approx. 100 years ago, depending on the region.
