How do I install a reclaimed wood wall cladding?

The boards are screwed onto a vertical batten frame: battens 20 × 40 mm spaced 60 to 80 cm apart, with the boards fixed at an angle through the edge and roughly 10 mm clearance from the floor. This applies to tongue-and-groove boards and to plain-edged boards alike.
