3-layer Panels Hand-hewn

Hand-hewn reclaimed wood three-layer panel

SKU: 3S-H

Reclaimed Wood Three-Layer Panel – Sustainable Furniture Making

For reclaimed wood three-layer panels, a thin layer (lamella) of the reclaimed wood surface is carefully cut from old beams, pressed onto panels under high pressure, and then glued. The hand-hewn surface shows the unique marks of the axe used to shape the wood from tree trunks up to 100 years ago. Our reclaimed wood three-layer panels with this hewn surface are ideal for wall cladding and furniture making.

Details and Availability of the 3-Layer Reclaimed Wood Panel

The surface of the reclaimed wood three-layer panels is made of 100% genuine reclaimed wood in spruce, fir, and pine. The panels are heat-treated and pest-free according to ISPM 15. They are available in lengths starting from 200 cm, with a fixed width of 122 cm and a thickness of approx. 21–24 mm. By default, the panels are manufactured with D3 bonding; for better water resistance, D4 bonding is also available. Additionally, you can choose whether the back side is also finished with reclaimed wood lamellas.

Every hand-hewn reclaimed wood panel is unique – the surface was hewn with an axe around a hundred years ago, and the depth and rhythm of the axe marks vary. Nail holes, cracks, knots and discolorations shape its character; individual spots are professionally patched with reclaimed wood. As second-hand material, reclaimed wood is subject to variations in dimensions, structure, color and texture. Even after installation, the panel reacts slightly to humidity.
