These boards once faced the sunny side of old barns and farmhouses. Where the sun was strong and the rain was rare, the wood darkened over decades – from light to deep brown, depending on position and exposure. That depth of colour cannot be reproduced.

For this surface we use the outer face of old beams and block walls. What you see are the strokes of the axe with which carpenters hewed the trunk by hand more than a hundred years ago. No two reclaimed wood panels carry the same pattern.
Our old oak comes from roof structures. It sat in the dry and carried the load for generations – marked not by the sun, but by age. The result is contrast from pale gray-brown to deep brown, often within a single panel.
